Getting Lucky - Two Ways That Work

Posted by on February 22, 2009

Getting lucky is about operating in certain ways. You won’t get lucky in love if you don’t ever talk to someone of the opposite sex. You won’t ever succeed in business by just talking about it. These two examples bring us to the first lesson on “luck.”

Getting Lucky By Consistently Taking Action

Men of action are favored by the Goddess of luck. - George S. Clason

I put together a website on backpacking. I created the pages, distributed articles to promote it, and got it listed in directories and search engines. It never made more than $15 per month.

I tried another approach, targeting my next website to those who like the mountains. I really poured my heart into The Mountain Hiking Site, putting up not only a lot of quality information, but great photographs as well. I think I spent more time on this one than on any previous website. Today, almost three years later, it makes about $20 per month - a big disappointment.

My website on ultralight backpacking, on the other hand, makes hundreds of dollars monthly. Some of my other sites do much better than that. I’m certainly happy that I did not give up six months into this business, when we were making just a few dollars per day.

The ultimate example of persistence may be the story of Harlon Sanders. Depending on the source you read, his Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe was rejected at between 900 and 1,000 restaurants before one decided to try it. From there he built an empire worth millions.

Now, can you imagine traveling in a van, living on nothing but a social security check (he started in this business late in life), trying to sell restaurants on the idea of paying you a percentage of profits to use a recipe? Do you think you might give up after 30 or 40 rejections. Honestly, I would have. But to hear “no” 900 times and still continue? Maybe “Colonel Sanders” needed the second part of this lesson.

Getting Lucky By Changing Your Approach

Persistence pays, they say, but that is only part of the lesson. Trying the same thing again and again verges on crazy at some point. You have to take action, but also notice what works and what doesn’t. Then change your approach according to what you learn. This is a four-step guide to getting lucky:

1. Take action - any action that might move you towards your goal.

2. Notice what works and what doesn’t work.

3. Change your approach according to what you have learned.

4. Repeat steps one through three until you succeed.

I have to credit Anthony Robbins for the formula above. It came from some book by him that I read many years ago. That suggests another way to get lucky: Regularly read motivating and life-changing books.

A Good Luck Exercise

Posted by on February 22, 2009

Want more good luck in your life? Then why not look at what the research shows about lucky people? Better yet, why not do some simple exercises that train your mind in the habits of lucky people?

To start with, the research shows (and yes there is a lot of “luck” research) that luckier people have more interaction with others. That makes sense, of course, and you might think it’s better luck to have friends than acquaintances. However, the research says otherwise.

For example, in one study, hundreds of professional and technical workers were interviewed about how they found their current jobs. Personal connections accounted for over half of the jobs found - a good example of the value of “networking.” Interestingly, though, researchers found that these “personal connections” who got them the jobs were not primarily friends. In fact, over 83% said they saw the contact person only “rarely,” or “occasionally.” People weren’t finding jobs through friends, but through acquaintances and even those they had just met.

It makes sense if you think about it for a moment. Friends often already work with you, and go to the same places, and know a lot of the same things as you do. Therefore, NEW information about jobs or anything else, is more likely to come from outside your circle of friends. Of course it’s good to have close friends, but having acquaintances may lead to more good luck, because they are more likely to introduce you to new opportunities. This is especially true if they are from many different walks of life.

To use this information, then, you can do a simple good luck exercise. First list people you know who each operate in different subcultures or “circles.” Avoid putting people on the list who work at the same place or even in the same industry. Better to have a musician and a barber on the list than a drummer and a guitar player. Ideally, each person on the list should know a different group of people. Find a phone number or address for each, and put that next to their names.

What if you can’t think of ten people? Then make some new acquaintances to fill out that list! Put a star next to any mavens you know. These are people who seem to know everyone and everything - very useful people to know.

Now make a point to call or otherwise contact one of the people on the list. Make it someone who you haven’t talked to recently. Offer to buy the person a drink or meal, perhaps, or just call to say hi or to ask a question. Make up a reason to call and stay in contact with him or her. Do this once or twice a month with another person on the list, but start today if you want to start having more good luck.

The Strangest Secret Review

Posted by on February 22, 2009

Have you heard of the Strangest Secret?  You’ve probably heard of the The Secret, but not the Strangest Secret.  The Strangest Secret was created by Earl Nightingale in the 1950s as a motivational talk to his employees one day while he was out.Find out more about the Strangest Secret by Earl Nightingale and the difference it can make in your life.

What is The Strangest Secret?

The Strangest Secret is that we become what we think about.  That’s it.  Nothing more, nothing less.  We become what we think about.  And it makes sense too if you really think about.  If all you think about all day long is how you are broke and do not have any more, you will be broke and not have any money.  On the flip side, if you think about how you do have money, you will start to have more money in your life.  It will be attracted to you.You need to put in some work too for the money to start appearing. You cannot just sit there crying and whining about your life and money problems.  That will not solve anything. You have to think about money positively and take the necessary action to create more money in your life.

The Strangest Secret came about before The Secret but The Secret has better marketing and fancy graphics with a mysterious looking cover.  The Strangest Secret came out as an audio recording and sold over a million copies back in the 1950s with very little marketing. The Strangest Secret is still being sold today by the Nightingale corporation. They sell the best self help books, courses, CDs, and DVDs to help you with all areas of your life.

If you want more out of life, get a copy of The Strangest Secret and attract the things you do want in your life instead of what you do not. This is a secret of success that has been around for thousands of years.  What you think about you attract.

Erotic Mind Control - Fact Or Fiction?

Posted by on February 22, 2009

Brainwave entrainment technology

The theory of erotic mind control has been split up into two schools of thought. One is the belief that one can position the mind to believe that the individual is an erotic being - which exudes sexual charisma and confidence, the two C’s that is made to attract the opposite sex. The other school of thought is the arena of self belief - when one person becomes an erotic human being - a highly active individual, who becomes a highly sexual and active person. The fact of the matter is, whether fact or fiction, erotic mind control can be achieved, especially with the advents of technology today; it is all down to the power of the mind to believe.

Can we transform a person to have the mental faculties to be a highly sexual individual or one that can easily attract the opposite sex? The answer is yes. It is all down to believing in oneself and removing doubt, fear and nervousness - allowing a charismatic and confident individual to appear. For a long time, the medical industry has been using autogenics, which uses a bombardment of messages to someone who has been slipped into a highly suggestive state. These messages have a many-fold purpose, in this case medical treatment of conditions like OCD or AD/ADHD.

Affirmation (or even affirmation prayer in its most rudimentary form) is the belief of inundating someone with positive thinking through the use of auditory and constant visual stimulation. By constant emphasis of such affirmations into the mind, we can eventually entrain the mind to lean towards a more erotic demeanour.

Transforming oneself into one capable of high levels of eroticism, so much so that sexual attraction becomes part of them, is a possibility with technology called brainwave entrainment. The brain itself is a highly suggestive piece of machinery, but to protect it from being exploited by even base sensory perceptions, it has split itself up into two - the consciousness where logic and rationale come into play, and when messages get filtered there, they end up in the subconscious.

The subconscious mind is the one that determines our very selves, including our behavioural flaws, our fears and out lack of sexual confidence, all comes from the subconscious mind. Brainwave entrainment technology gives us the power to enter the subconscious mind and remove all those tears and fears that lead us to stumble and fail. By targeting specific frequency states in the brain and invoking them through stimulation, we can finally live our lives to the fullest and do more than what we’re normally capable of. All those years of feeling second place in the attraction wars or the feeling of ill confidence in bed will simply disappear and you will be greeted in the morning with a newer, more confident you.

Brainwave entrainment isn’t applicable to only erotic mind control, but the technology applies to many forms of super learning, accelerated language retention, mental focus, creativity, meditation, healing. We as a race have always wanted more and more power to change the very essence that makes us who we are - and brainwave entrainment is the latest chapter in this never-ending book.

Achieve Your Goals Through The Power of The Mind

Posted by on February 22, 2009

personal development

Have you ever felt depressed? Does your life look like a washed-out picture, dull, grey, monotonous B-movie flick you just can’t get out of? What you need is a healthy dose of positive thinking, but the thing is, not many of us can just magically pull it out of thin air. Some of us are in dire need of guidance and whole lot of help to tap into the power of the mind to brighten our life and achieve new goals.

The mental state of the human being is the determinant, which will decide where anyone will be in life. It affects everything about their psyche, from behaviour to mindsets - which means it determines practically every aspect about you and me. The difference between a successful individual and one who seems to be caught in the cycle of failures is their state of mind. A hurdle is only as high as we perceive it and creativity, ingenuity and intelligence all come from the power of positive thinking.

The issue here is our conscious and subconscious mind working together. The conscious mind filters the external stimuli around us and our own experiences down to the subconscious, which then drives the emotional vehicle within our body. Breaking those preconceived notions and steering the subconscious out of this roadmap to failure is difficult - especially when we are contending with years of built up repression and bad attitudes.

Smile more, feel healthy and get that extra jump in your step. We need to reach down into the subconscious, deep within the recesses of our cerebrum and change it for the better. The only way to do it is to achieve a transcendental state of meditation - a state in which the brain operates in something we call alpha waves, and reprogram the mind. Yes, reprogramming the mind is entirely possible - as well as inducing creativity, intelligence, acumen and even creating happiness!

The technology in this area of personal development is thoroughly involved and highly invested in. As the world sinks into depression day by day, as bad news inundates the world’s news bulletins, and as the global financial crisis overwhelms us - we need every bit of help in this area. And there are no limits to the kinds of methods that can be utilised to unlock the power of your mind. From traditional techniques like yoga and meditation, to the more scientific ones like magnetic wave technology and binaural beats to invoke brainwave entrainment - there are so many ways you can achieve personal success.

You shouldn’t dally any longer than you already have Some of these methods are simply instructional while others cost a meager investment of an audio CD. There has never been anything that is so cost-effective; a small investment of money to improve your life, on your terms, on your time. That is power reserved only for mythological creatures, and it is a reality in today’s world using today’s technology. Log on and do some research, you will be amazed at the amount of people who have already benefited from these treatments and you should - no must add yourself to that list.
