Mind Power Throughout The Ages

Your mind is like a magnet, which is something you may not have known. Your mind will attract things that it sees and thinks. The law of attraction deals with this power of the mind. The law of attraction is about believing so strongly that something will happen that it does end up happening. This means that you can have the most amazing life if you just put your mind to it. It may take time, but with practice you can have what you want. Your mind is amazing and powerful.

We all have mind power that we just do not realize. In fact, research has proven that we only use about 10% of our brain power. What a waste! We seem to only stick to the simple things and bypass the rest. That could be why we seem to think life is nothing but trouble. That leads to negative thoughts because we do not think anything can happen. We think negative, so we draw negativity to ourselves. The truth is that by thinking this way we are just manifesting the negativity in our own life.

Your life’s reality begins in your mind. The things in life that you have accumulated have come from your mind power. People are often said to have psychic powers or extra sensory powers, but that is really just advanced mind power at work. When you really want something in life, to get it, all you do is think it. If you expect negative things to happen then that is what you get.

There are a few things that you can do to start to increase your existing amount of mind power. One of those things involves the use of visualization. This is a very powerful technique because it will help you to exercise your current state of mind power, and might possibly be able to ‘flip the switch on’ for you in terms of gaining more.

Visualization is done by sitting quietly and using your mind to imagine all of the things you would like to have in your world. Let your mind create picture images of those things. Anyone can use the visualization technique to bring these desires into their subconscious mind. The subconscious mind will then bring them into the world. Hold positive images in your mind and you will have positive results; hold negative images and you will have negative results. Plan ahead what you want to do before you begin your visualization practice.

If you have to, write everything down on a piece of paper, kind of like a story. Think about the goals that you have for yourself so that you have something to go with. Create your visions around those goals. When you write things down, it makes it hard for you to forget. Try doing this several times a day until it becomes a reality in the back of your mind.

Another way to increase your mind power is through the use of affirmations. Affirmations are statements you make to lift your spirits. They are always positive and always make you feel good. As you repeat them you feel encouraged and positive about life. This exercise will help you fell positive about life. For example you may want to lose weight. So you tell yourself throughout the day such things as, I am so happy that I will be 10 pounds thinner by the end of the month. You state it as if you expect it to be true and it will be true. If you feel uncomfortable at first, don’t worry. After repeating the exercise for 28 days it will become a habit.

Another option is to use brainwave entrainment to develop your mind power. This is done through the synchronization of brainwaves using different frequencies through audio technology. The brain is an amazing thing in that it can do more than one thing at a time. Using advanced audio technology you can improve your minds power to heal. This process also improves memory and enhances natural psychic powers. This method is advanced but it can do amazing things.

Hypnosis is a powerful tool to help increase you’re the power of your mind. It works through relaxation and getting into the subconscious mind. Smoking cessation is a good example of how hypnosis works. During a hypnosis session, the smoker is told they do not want to smoke and they do not need to smoke and that they want to quit. This process simply takes someone who doesn’t believe in themselves to the point where they do believe that they can overcome the addiction.

So you see, everyone has mind power, it is just a matter of belief in one’s abilities. It may not happen overnight for everyone, but you can change your circumstances and turn your bad luck into good. You must learn to communicate your energies out into the universe and know that what you put out there will manifest itself back to you. But it all starts within the subconscious mind. Do you believe in your own inner greatness?

What is greatness? This is a question we all need to spend time considering because it will be different for us all especially if discovering greatness is a journey you are thinking about taking. Let me share with you what greatness is for me.

Writer Diane Corriette says “When I think about my own greatness I think about the feeling that comes when I connect to the universal energy known as God (or Source/Creator), when I stand in complete faith and believe that whatever I have asked for will be delivered. When I pray for others and spend time making people laugh. My own greatness isn't just one thing but a combination of many which leave me feeling connected, self confident and at peace.”

Fear and guilt can not live when my greatness is present. When I connect to how great I am doubt and scarcity no longer have a chance. I am vibrant and my natural energy (or aura) attracts people and things into my life like bees to a flower in bloom.

And the important thing to remember are the words 'when I am connected' because when I turn away from Source life just isn't as joy filled as it usually is when greatness is present.

Worry becomes the ruler of my life, and fear about how things will turn out takes over. Nothing works out as well or flows as easy once I allow fear and worry to take over events in my life. Earning an income becomes difficult and money may stop coming in all together which then brings on fear and worry and more of the same.

The good news is that no matter where your life is right now, no matter how bad things have become, at any moment you can choose to turn it around with one simple thought “I can choose to be happy despite my current circumstances”

It was that one thought that began to turn my life around after two years of disconnecting from source to ‘do it my way’ and making a complete mess of it. I awoke one morning and a voice whispered ‘despite how bad you think things are you can still choose to be happy’ The simple act of choosing to be happy put me on the path of reconnecting back to everything I had turned away from.

I share that story to highlight that on your path to greatness there will be times when you turn away from what is working because you believe that you know best. Or perhaps everything is working fine and you think you are okay to do it alone, but if you are truly one who has had God in your life then He will patiently wait until you are ready to turn back to Him - and that is usually after messing everything up and landing in trouble!

The gold in this situation (because there always is a lesson to learn or "gold" in every situation) is that I experienced what I was like without greatness and it did not feel good. I had to experience who I do not want to be in order to know when I am experiencing who I do want to be, which is great.

What greatness means to you and why you would choose to begin the journey of discovering your greatness is something you and your Creator can answer together. It's not an easy path. As a way to heal your past your will find yourself dealing with one challenge after another. As you heal those past events and unblock your limiting behavior your life transforms.

Discovering greatness is a journey with no end because as soon as you feel you have found the greatness within you something will happen to show you there is still more greatness to find. This is one of the major keys to always ensure you move towards self realization.

What I can tell you is that it will change your way of being in the world. You will enjoy a continuous feeling of joy - not fleeting happiness - but true long lasting joy no matter what circumstances come your way. Your life as you know it will never be the same.

5 Creative Ways To Express Gratitude To Boost Happiness

Gratitude plays a huge part in all our lives whether we’re conscious of it or not. When we say thank you for a gift or for the person holding the door for us, we’re expressing one of the most important values of all our lives.

Gratitude is scientifically proven to increase your levels of happiness, your health, self-confidence, motivation, and it’ll make you more fun to be around. Sounds pretty good for something so easy to practice.

In fact, a study by Dr. Michael McCollough, of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and Dr. Robert Emmons, of the University of California at Davis proved that gratitude was a major factor in someone’s well-being.

So to get the ball rolling and to give you some quirky and fun ways to express gratitude, here are 5 ingenious ways to show your appreciation.

1. Do a gratitude dance

Sounds a little crazy but it’s a lot more common than you’d imagine. Think about all those touchdown dances football players do. So when you feel like a million bucks or you’ve just achieved something amazing, get up and do a gratitude dance.

In fact, 2 guys from Canada called the GratiDudes have started a gratitude dance on YouTube.

2. Start a gratitude journal

Everyone at some point of their lives starts a journal or a diary.  But what about one that’s solely dedicated to expressing gratitude? This is a fun and incredibly liberating activity. Get yourself (or even make one) a gorgeous notebook and everyday write down what you’re grateful for. Do it in the morning and the evening for all the big things and the small things.

It’s hard to have a bad day when you’ve got something to be grateful for. If you don’t want to start a journal exclusively for gratitude, incorporate it into your daily journaling routine. Just start off each entry with 3 things your grateful for.

3. Write a gratitude letter

Writing a letter can be extremely empowering and can lift a whole load of emotions off you. In the same way, writing a gratitude letter does the same thing. Pick one person in your life that means a lot to you and in a letter format write about all the things you’re grateful for about that person. All the things they’ve done for you, the times they’ve been there, their personality, and their quirks.

You don’t have to give them the letter.  The act of writing it is enough. However if you did give it to them, they’d be happier than happy for the rest of the day.

Another gratitude letter is one to yourself. This is a great exercise in self-discovery. You may realize strengths within you that you never consciously recognized.

4. Gratitude sticky notes

Take a pad of sticky notes and everyday write something that you’re grateful for on as many pieces of paper as you can. Then stick them all over the place. On the fridge, in your wallet, on your desk, on a book… You get the point.

These little reminders will brighten up your day and if anyone sees them, they’ll be inspired to do the same.

Eventually when you get too many around your house or desk, put them in a book that you can flip through and remind yourself of all the good things in your life.

5. Make a collage of gratitude

Take a big poster board, grab some scissors and glue, find some old magazines and photos.  Start collaging!

Cut out all the things you’re grateful for in the form of pictures. You can find things in magazines, pictures from news articles, photographs of family and friends, pictures taken from holidays, etc.

Once you’ve got a good compilation, stick them all over your poster board. It’ll be a constant reminder of all the beautiful things in your life that give you a constant stream of strength, inspiration, encouragement, and love.

Once you’re done, frame it and put it in a place that is easily viewable.

These are just a few of the ways you can express gratitude and keep your perspective positive and bright. Of course there are a billion other ways to express your gratitude, just as long as you consciously do it on a daily basis. The benefits are immense. So happy gratitude-ing and have fun!

Stop Caring What Others Think About You And Live Your Life

One of the most difficult things to get over in life is the worry about what other people think of us. We can worry about the careers or partners we choose and what others will think about this. It is basic human nature to care about how we are thought of to an extent, however, when this goes to an extreme it can have a really big impact upon your life. However these feelings can be removed by following our how to stop caring what other people think guidance:

  • When you get a feeling that somebody is judging you, think rationally as it is very unlikely that they are. Other people often have many things going on and their own worries to be too concerned with what you are doing. Tell yourself this and you will soon feel much better.

  • Avoid those who will seek to put your self esteem down in order to boost their own. Concentrate on people who are positive and lift your mood, who reassure you and build your confidence. If people you trust compliment you, chances are you will believe them over others and begin to believe that you are not worthless.

  • Pursue a hobby or interest in order to meet people with similar likes to you. Because of the similarity it is most unlikely that they will think negatively about you. To meet more people like yourself who will more likely than not just accept you joining a class of some sort is a good way to do this.

  • The ultimate advice would be to just accept yourself for who you are and stop acting. If you can accept yourself in this way you will realise there is no point worrying what others think as you simply are who you are.

  • subliminal messages can greatly help to increase self esteem. The power of subliminals can be used to increase your willpower and strength of mind. This will thicken your skin and help you to find a deeper sense of self satisfaction and comfort within yourself.

What Exactly Is Mind Power?

Just in case you didn’t already know, your mind is like a magnet. What it thinks and sees, it will eventually attract. There is this thing that is called the law of attraction, and it deals very strongly with mind power. The law of attraction is basically the act of believing something is going to happen so strongly that it does. You can have the best life if you want it, but you have to be able to think it, feel it, and envision it first. This may take some practice, but success only comes with persistence in any endeavor. The power of the mind is amazing.

mind power - We only use about 10% of our minds. It is hard to believe that so much of it is being wasted every day of our lives. We do things the easy way, the way that appears right in front of us not realizing how powerful our minds really are. We complain that our lives are hard and unfulfilling because we do not believe that anything good can happen to us. Because we think negatively we attract more of the same into our lives and create what we don’t want. What we think is what our life becomes.

Your life as it is today is a reflection of your thinking. What happens in your mind appears in your life because it is what you conceive and believe. Think about something you want to have happen in your life, then put your mind power to use bringing it in to reality. If you believe in negative things, you will bring negative things.
